Akita Info, by Valiant Akitas

Angie of Cade's Akitas has female puppies available now, 2/10. One of the girls is pictured above. This litter is sired by my dog CH Striker. Please visit Cade's page for puppy photos or my Planned Breeding page to see Liz and Striker.

We are always happy to refer you to other breeders if we do not have what you are looking for.
If you are interested in a puppy, please send us a detailed email telling us a little bit about yourself and why you feel the Akita is the right dog for you. We need to know about your lifestyle, work schedule, family and other pets you might have. We require a fenced yard or secure kennel for outdoor play (recommend minimum five feet high) and we want our puppies raised indoors as housepets. If you are looking for a companion dog to keep outside, please don't contact us! It is great for an Akita to have a secure outside kennel and fresh air but they need some housetime and attention too. Our companion Akitas are not for show or breeding and must be spayed or neutered, as we feel this makes the Akita a better family companion. We offer an excellent, written three year guarantee on our puppies covering hips/eyes/autoimmune.

We ask you to also consider adopting a rescue Akita. Sure, everyone wants a puppy but few people have the time to properly train, housebreak and socialize a puppy. If everyone in the household is gone during the work day, a puppy is NOT a good idea if no one is home to train him or let him outside. For some families, a rescue Akita is the perfect answer because many of these dogs are housebroken and beyond the destructive chewing stages, and have already been spayed or neutered and are current on their vaccinations. Most of the dogs in rescue are wonderful dogs that have simply been cast aside by owners who were too busy for them. Please consider opening your home and heart to one of these wonderful Akitas.
