Valiant's Word Up at Awesome
Cameo was originally sold to a show home and returned to us at 5 years old and 2 litters later. We were so glad to have Cameo back with us. She was a lovely example of linebreeding at its best (please see her pedigree!), being a granddaughter of our foundations CH Kahlua and CH Blade. Cameo screamed type and had tons of bone and a gorgeous headpiece, yet was feminine too. At 24" and 85 lb she was the smallest girl in our breeding program, yet she still produced good size. Cameo won a reserve to a 5pt major at her first show the Las Vegas Specialty at only 7 months old. She then took leave from the show ring a while, and in 2004 won a 5 pt major at the Golden Gate specialty. She currently has 8 points with a 5 point major. Although she deserved it, this lovely girl never finished her championship. She was an amazing brood bitch though and free-whelped large, healthy litters. Cameo has a beautiful Champion daughter "Princesse" living at Minda Akitas and her two kids here at Valiant, CH Striker and his sister Keeper (pointed) and littermate Baja (pointed). Cameo was incredibly sweet and a real lover. She loved jumping up and giving kisses. Her daughter Keeper is almost identical to her in temperament. We miss Cameo, we lost her to bloat at 7 years old, and only a week away from whelping a repeat breeding to Soco. It was very sad to lose this lovely girl and her puppies. Rest in peace, dear Cameo.
