Cam's Valiant Sanibel Sunshine
"Sunny" is pictured at 9 months old (July 2008), photos taken by Courtney Lane. She was bred by our good friends Angela and Jake Miller. Unfortunately, Sunny isn't working out as a show dog so we have decided to place her into a companion home. She is available to the right home and needs an owner experienced with this breed or training other large working dogs. Sunny is very sweet and extroverted she LOVES people. She can be a little pushy with other dogs though so it is recommended that she be an only dog (though she might get along with a sweet boy who will let her be queen because that is what she is used to!). No cats or critters, she has not been exposed to these. She is VERY good in the house and is housebroken, crate trained, good with kids (though maybe a bit too much for a toddler). She does go into a kennel sometimes but it should be noted she is not just a "kennel dog" not neurotic/barky/messy, but has lived also as a house dog. She is one of the smartest Akitas I have ever raised. She has basic obedience and learns quickly (she knows sit/down/shake hands and will go into her crate when I say "bed"). She is VERY sound moving and an athletic girl, but she is also a very calm girl when indoors and is not underfoot but is pretty independant. She is being placed as a companion only (not for show or breeding) and is to be spayed soon. We are offering a VERY SPECIAL low adoption fee for Sunny, only $600, because she is being placed without hip/eye guarantee. The reason for this is I am taking a break from breeding Akitas after my current litter and I might not have a replacement puppy available to honor a guarantee, so I have lowered her price to reflect that. Sunny is current on vaccinations, wormings, is on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. She will also be spayed soon at our cost.
